New Delhi: Sanjeev Jindal has joined as Executive Director (Human Resources) at the corporate headquarters of Airports Authority of India (AAI) on August 28. Prior to this elevation, Jindal was serving as Regional Executive Director of North East region airports owned by AAI. With his new assignment, Jindal has replaced Sanjay Jain, who has been transferred to ED (Commercial) post. The ED (Commercial) post fell vacant when KL Sharma superannuated.
Jindal is an engineering graduate (Civil Engineering) from Delhi College of Engineering and also holds a post-graduation in Project Management from School of Planning and Architecture. He has about 25 years of experience in planning, designing and construction of airports in India. He has worked as Airport Director at Leh, Ladakh Airport, the world's highest airport. He is a recipient of various commendations and awards for quality and targeted assignments.
Jindal has worked as Secretary of AAI Officers Institute and as Chief Coordinator AAI Officers' Wives Association, Kalyanmayee, parallelly. He has been single point contact and nodal officer for various deposit works all over India with AAI. He is also a member of various committees and associations in AAI and Vice President of AAI Engineers Guild.
The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India. AAI manages 125 airports, which include 18 international airports, seven customs airports, 78 domestic airports and 26 civil enclaves at defence airfields.
