New Delhi/Shimla: SJVN Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Nand Lal Sharma has been conferred with the 'Life Time Achievement Award' by Indian Concrete Institute (ICI). The award has been conferred during a virtual function organised by ICI on Concrete Day & Construction Excellence Awards 2020.
Under the dynamic leadership of Sharma, SJVN has emerged as a major player in the power sector in India and neighbouring countries. SJVN currently is constructing five power projects with a capacity of around 3,000 MW in India, Nepal & Bhutan. His persistent and unrelenting efforts have resulted in the allocation of eight power projects in India and abroad in the last two years. SJVN has set ambitious targets of becoming a 5,000 MW company by 2023, 12,000 MW company by 2030 and 25,000 MW company by 2040.
SJVN is a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Power. Its present installed capacity is 2016.51 MW with a portfolio of around 9,000 MW, having a presence in various sectors of energy generation which includes hydro, wind, solar and thermal. The company also has a presence in the field of energy transmission.
