New Delhi: The Ministry of Steel has appointed Sukriti Likhi (IAS) as Government Nominee Director on the Board of MOIL Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel. She has been appointed on the Board of MOIL Limited in place of T Srinivas, who has ceased to be the Government Nominee Director on the Board of MOIL Limited. Likhi has been appointed on the post with immediate effect and until further orders. The Haryana cadre IAS officer is currently serving as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel. This information has been shared by MOIL Limited in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange on Thursday.
Sukriti Likhi is a 1993-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Prior to her appointment in the Ministry of Steel, she was posted as Additional Secretary in the Department of Heavy Industry under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises. Her varied experience in administration includes working in the Ministry of Finance as Director in the Department of Financial Services and later, as Counsellor (Economic) with the Embassy of India at Washington DC. In the Haryana state government, among her varied assignments, she served as Managing Director of Haryana Power Generation Corporation Ltd; as Managing Director HAFED (the Haryana State Cooperative Supply & Marketing Federation Limited) and as Finance Secretary.
Likhi is an Economics Honours graduate from Lady Shri Ram College. She holds a Master's degree in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics and a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard University (USA).
