New Delhi: There are a number of Public Sectors Undertaking (PSUs) companies that have made it to the Fortune 500 list 2020 of Indian companies. Some of them have slipped from their earlier spots while some are the new entrants. PSU Watch has compiled the whole list of PSUs featured on the Fortune 500 list of Indian companies. PSUs from Banking & Finance to oil & gas, coal, power generation and distribution have topped the list published earlier this week.
India's biggest OMC Indian Oil has been ranked no 2 in the Fortune 500 list of Indian companies followed by Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), the largest lender State Bank of India (SBI), and India's second-biggest fuel retailer Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) in the top ten list. It is pertinent to mention here that in the global rankings released by Fortune earlier in August, Reliance Industries Limited broke into the world's top 100 companies. While Indian Oil had slipped 34 positions to rank 151st globally, and Maharatna oil PSU ONGC was ranked 190th, 30 notches lower than its last year's ranking. A number of PSUs like BPCL, BEML, Shipping corporation that are disinvestment-bound organisations have also made to the list. Here is the full list:
The list has been published by Fortune India, which is part of the Kolkata-based RP Sanjiv Goenka Group.
