New Delhi: Vikram Dingley is set to be the next Director (Technical & Offshore) of Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI), a disinvestment-bound Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Port Shipping & Waterways. Dingley has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel, a head hunter body for PSUs, on Friday. He is currently working as General Manager (Tanker Technical, RB & CDD) in the same PSU.
Dingley has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical & Offshore Services) of SCI from a list of two candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel. Another candidate who was on the list was also from the SCI.
As Director (Technical & Offshore Services) of SCI, Dingley will be a member of its Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will responsible for the preparation of technical policies in relation to maintenance and safety systems for the fleet. He will also be responsible for the operation of the offshore services fleet, acquisition and disposal of the vessels.
Currently, SCI's Director (Liner & Passenger Services) Capt BK Tyagi is holding the additional charge of Director (Technical & Offshore Services) post in the company.
