WCL’s Uday Kaole set to be next Director (Technical) of BCCL

New Delhi: Uday Kaole is set to be the next Director (Technical) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. He is currently serving as General Manager in Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), also a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Coal.

Kaole has been recommended for the post of Director (Technical) of BCCL from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel in its selection meeting held on March 11. Out of seven candidates, two candidates were from Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), two from Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) and one each from South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), NLC India Limited and Dilip Buildcon Limited.

As Director (Technical) of BCCL, Kaole will be a member of the Board of Directors of BCCL and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for the operation of mines and also of field activities, technical functions and safety of mines.
