The Navratna CPSU has recently organised a constraints measuring & problem solving conclave with contractors and consultants in order to expedite the execution of existing projects
Project Execution has recently been a cause of concern for NBCC as the execution somehow hasn't been able to keep pace with the bloating order book. Keeping that in mind the Navratna CPSU under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), recently organised a brainstorming session with its contractors and consultants. In the conclave various the stakeholders sat together to discuss ways to achieve efficiencies in project execution. It may be mentioned that NBCC keeps on holding such conclaves at regular intervals and this day long conclave provided opportunity to the participants to discuss the hindrances/ constraints faced in implementation of a project and also to seek suggestions to remove the bottlenecks as it is key to further increasing productivity in the construction industry.
"Good platform to discuss hindrances"
Speaking at the conclave NBCC Chairman-cum-Managing Director Dr. Anoop Kumar Mittal, said, “It is a brilliant initiative regularly undertaken by NBCC as there are so many opportunities and ideas out there unexplored and the conclave was a platform for recognizing and sharing the best practices, analysing the recent trends, challenges and strategic recommendations about the same”.
Apart from Dr Mittal, other senior officials of NBCC namely Sh. Rajendra Chaudhari, Director (Commercial); Sh. Neelesh Shah, Director (Projects); Sh. Sanjiv Swarup, CVO and Sh. Gyanesh Pandey, CMD, HSCC, also attended the conclave.
“It is a brilliant initiative regularly undertaken by NBCC as there are so many opportunities and ideas out there unexplored and the conclave was a platform for recognizing and sharing the best practices, analysing the recent trends, challenges and strategic recommendations about the same”
Dr. Mittal held mutual dialogues and interactions with the participants to explore timely delivery and quality of projects, pollution control methods, new innovative technology in construction etc.
It is worth mentioning that NBCC's proficiency, the initiative towards the adoption of new technologies, employee skilling, latest mechanism etc. empowers the organization to achieve new statures.
