NBCC implements RPL programme under Skill India Mission

New Delhi: State-run Navratna PSU NBCC (India) Limited under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has implemented 'recognition of prior learning' (RPL) programme under the 'Skill India Mission' at its offices and projects sites throughout the country.

In the NBCC RPL programme, over 2,000 workers have been assessed and certified by the Construction Skill Development Council of India (CSDC), the PSU said in a press release.

Workers engaged in 39 Job roles were assessed through the written test and practical demonstration by NBCC Engineers with co-ordination from Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), a not for profit, non-government, industry-led and industry-managed organisation.

NBCC RPL programme under 'Skill India Mission' has been implemented at various work sites such as ITPO-Pragati Maidan, East Kidwai Nagar, NIT-Narela, NIDM-Rohini, IIT-Delhi, New Gujarat Bhawan, Vanijaya Bhawan, Sports Injury Centre-Safdarjung, CBI-Maidangarhi, CISF-Maidangarhi, NSEZ-Noida, AIIMS Works at Bilaspur [HP] and Dehradun HSCL Worksites.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a platform to provide recognition to informal learning or learning through work to get equal acceptance as the formal levels of education. It aims to appreciate prior learning irrespective of the medium of achieving it.
