New Delhi: State-run NBCC Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), has signed a memorandum of agreement (MoU) with Odisha Thermal Power Corporation Limited (OTPCL) on December 11 in New Delhi. Under this MoU, NBCC Limited will carry out the construction and development works for 3×800 MW thermal power plant of OTPCL, valuing approximately Rs 200 crore.
The MoU was signed by the NBCC Limited's Director (Projects) Neelesh Shah and OTPCL's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Bhavani Panda in the presence of Bishnupada Sethi (IAS) Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Energy Department Government of Odisha and NBCC Limited's CMD PK Gupta.
Odisha Thermal Power Corporation Limited (OTPCL) is a joint venture of two of the leading state PSUs namely Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Limited (OHPC ) and Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC), headquartered in Nayapally, Bhubaneswar.
NBCC (India) Limited is a Navratna enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The PSU is certified with ISO 9001:2015 from the Bureau of Indian Standards in respect of project management and consultancy. The company's present areas of operations are categorised into three main segments: Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Real Estate Development and EPC Contracting.
