Neeru Singh Gyani and 2 others appointed as Independent Director of MDL

New Delhi: Miniratna Defence PSU, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) has announced the appointment of Independent Directors on its Board on Tuesday. According to MDL's regulatory filings to the stock exchanges on Tuesday, Jagjeet Kaur Neeru Singh Gyani, Mallikarjunarao Bhyrisetty and Shambhuprasad B Tundiya have been appointed as the Independent Directors on the Board of the company. They have been appointed to the post for a period of three years. Ministry of Defence has conveyed the appointment of Independent Directors on December 24.

Brief profiles of the newly appointed directors are under:-

Neeru Singh

Jagjeet Kaur Neeru Singh 'Gyani' has been appointed on MDL Board with effect from December 27. She is a Postgraduate MA Arts, B Com and LLB. She has worked as Director in Punjabi Sahitya Academy (MP), Member of District committee for the 15 point program of Prime Minister for Minorities and member of Micro cabinet member LIONS Clubs International. She has worked as Chairperson and President of LIONS Club. She is a visiting faculty for MBA students and Personality Development and has contributed in social, health, women and cleanliness projects in Madhya Pradesh.

Mallikarjunarao Bhyrisetty

Mallikarjunarao Bhyrisetty has been appointed on MDL Board with effect from December 24. He is a Post Graduate M Sc (Nuclear Physics). He has worked as Principal & Lecturer in DCBN & NKR Jr. College, Guntur. He is the Founder Director of the Non-profit organisation Guntur Institute of competitions. He has worked is in areas like Infrastructure, education & social service Activities. He has also authored books on history and socio-cultural history of Andhra Pradesh.

Shambhuprasad B Tundiya

Shambhuprasad B Tundiya has been appointed on MDL Board with effect from December 24. He is a BA graduate. He was a MLA from DASADA-7 (2007 to 2014) and MP of the Rajyasabha Gujarat (2014-2020). He has worked is in areas like Social Service and Cultural Activities.
