The Rs 1,216.90 crore expansion project includes a world-class terminal building, a multi-level car parking facility, and six additional parking bays. Once operational, the 65,155 sq. m. terminal will accommodate 3,000 passengers during peak hours, enhancing the airport’s annual capacity from 3 million to 10 million passengers.

Equipped with advanced passenger amenities like 54 check-in counters, five boarding bridges, and five conveyor belts, the terminal also boasts a GRIHA IV-star rating. Inspired by the architecture of Nalanda ruins, the interiors will feature traditional Madhubani artwork.
