New Delhi: The Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) successfully hosted its highly anticipated Vendors Meet Event on Monday at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi. The Chief Guest Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability (DEPwD), Government of India inaugurated the event which aims to foster partnerships, strengthen existing relationships, and explore innovative opportunities within the assistive technology domain. DEPwD’s Joint Secretary Rajesh Yadav, ALIMCO’s CMD Praveen Kumar, GeM Advisor Hirak Datta, ALIMCO’s GM (FA) & CFO Atul Rustagi, GM (I/c Marketing) Ajay Chaudhary were promptly present in the function.
Addressing the inaugural session, Chief Guest Aggarwal emphasized on need of exploring innovative and advanced assistive devices which must be affordable, accessible and quality oriented. He said the department has focused on reaching out to the beneficiaries and expansion of services of ALIMCO in each states and UTs is a part of this initiative.
ALIMCO’s CMD Praveen Kumar outlined the organisation's vision and mission in empowering Divyangjan along with the future growth trajectory of the corporation and adaptation of on-line digital platforms to maintain fair and transparent opportunities for collaborating partners.
Representatives of MSME, GeM, NSIC and TReDS were also invited in the meet so that the initiative and schemes implemented by central government for ease of doing business from these platforms can be utilized by the participating entrepreneurs and also to sought out the various queries of the participants. During the session of meeting, a presentation was shared by ALIMCO where various aspects, opportunities and systems in place for vendors were emphasized. It was also highlighted that two-way communication, integrity, and transparency in business dealings are required for a win-win situation for the corporation and its partners.
The session followed by open house interactive session between ALIMCO, industries representatives and associated vendors. Over the years, ALIMCO has established a platform for interaction between the Management of corporation and the working Vendors/Contractors at regular intervals to understand the problems being faced by all the stakeholders and to minimize the roadblocks faced in the execution of contracts/ orders with ALIMCO.
The event served as a testament to ALIMCO's unwavering commitment to fostering partnerships and driving innovation in the field of aids and assistive devices. The annual event of ALIMCO brought together prominent industry stakeholders, vendors, and partners for a day of insightful discussions, collaboration, and networking meet out the progressive production graph of the corporation.
