New Delhi: Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. held its 108th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 23, reporting strong financial results for FY 2024-25, driven by robust growth in its Travel & Vacations and Logistics businesses.

The company recorded a net turnover of Rs 2,57,762.84 lakh in FY25, up 7.22 percent from Rs 2,40,416.53 lakh in the previous fiscal. Profit Before Tax stood at Rs 31,378.99 lakh, reflecting a 12.61 percent increase year-on-year. Reserves and surplus rose to Rs 1,35,694.55 lakh as on March 31, 2025, from Rs 1,25,621.43 lakh a year earlier.

Chairman’s address at the AGM highlighted the challenging global environment, marked by supply chain disruptions, protectionist trade policies, and tariff hikes. However, he noted that India’s fundamentals remain strong, with GDP growth projected between 6.3 percent and 6.8 percent in FY26.

Business Unit Performance

  • Industrial Packaging retained its leadership in the 210L and 235L MS Drums segment with a 40 percent market share, posting record volumes and completing modernisation of its Chittoor facility.

  • Greases & Lubricants under the flagship brand Balmerol delivered marginal growth despite fluctuations in base oil prices and global uncertainties.

  • Chemicals registered 7.8 percent growth and an all-time record profit, earning multiple national awards for manufacturing competitiveness and sustainability.

  • Logistics saw a 24 percent topline growth, with Container Freight Station (CFS) volumes rising 20 percent. Its Cold Chain brand, LOGICOLD, expanded to Vijayawada, and the company entered rail logistics with long-haul SFTO and port link express services. A new 3PL facility was also commissioned in Eastern India.

  • Travel & Vacations delivered its best-ever results, with record ticket bookings through the Government of India’s air ticketing portal, which saw a 50% increase in users. The division also managed major national events under its MICE offerings and plans to diversify into international ticketing, hotels, cabs, and air charter services.
