New Delhi: Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., a Miniratna I Public Sector Enterprise with a diversified portfolio of business operations, on Thursday announced its financial results for the second quarter of fiscal year 2024-25, ending September 30. The results were duly reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting in Kolkata on November 5.
For the quarter, the company reported a total income of Rs 648.66 crore, showing a modest increase from Rs 643.62 crore in the previous quarter. Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose to Rs 68.58 crore, reflecting a growth from Rs 57.84 crore in the quarter ending June 30, 2024. Additionally, the Net Profit After Tax (PAT) for the period reached Rs 49.69 crore, as compared to Rs 46.78 crore in the previous quarter, demonstrating a consistent upward trajectory.
For the six months ending September 30, Balmer Lawrie reported a cumulative total income of Rs 1,292.28 crore, alongside a PBT of Rs 126.41 crore and a PAT of Rs 96.47 crore. In comparison, the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year recorded a total income of Rs 1,197.33 crore, with a PBT of Rs 133.86 crore and a PAT of Rs 100.74 crore.
