New Delhi: Navratna Defence Public Sector Undertaking Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CSIR-Central Electronic Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CEERI) to jointly design and develop advanced technologies critical to India’s defence sector.

Under the collaboration, BEL and CSIR-CEERI will work together on the design and development of Microwave Vacuum Electron Devices (MVEDs), RF and Microwave products, futuristic antennas, and MEMS-based products for applications in radar, communication, space, and other strategic defence systems.

The partnership is aimed at strengthening indigenous capabilities and promoting self-reliance in high-end defence technologies, in line with the Government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

The MoU documents have been exchanged by BEL's General Manager (Strategic Planning) Niti Pandit and CSIR-CEERI's Principal Scientist Dr Niraj Sinha, during the Foundation Day celebrations of CSIR-CEERI, held at the institute’s campus in Pilani, Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan. The ceremony was attended by senior officials from both BEL and CSIR-CEERI.
