New Delhi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has introduced its Bharat Hi-Star PNG Stove, setting a new efficiency benchmark in the industry. The innovative stove is designed to reduce PNG (piped natural gas) consumption by 20-25 percent, offering an efficiency boost of 10-15 percent over conventional stoves. This improvement could lead to significant savings in natural gas imports and contribute to India's net-zero goals by cutting CO2 emissions.
The Bharat Hi-Star PNG Stove boasts a thermal efficiency of over 74 percent, achieved through advanced technology developed by BPCL's Corporate R&D Centre. The stove will be available in multiple variants and rolled out under BPCL’s “Beyond LPG” initiative, expanding across BharatGas distributors nationwide.
The product is expected to help households save up to INR 2000 annually through reduced gas consumption. BPCL has also filed a patent application for the stove and has partnered with Suryaflame for its commercial manufacturing.
