New Delhi: Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology, said that Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya solar mission will spearhead India’s Amrit Kaal growth journey over the next 25 years. Singh was launching the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign at Tikri-1B Panchayat in district Udhampur which marks the beginning of the Amrit Kalash Yatras starting all over the country. He said that this era is rightfully called the ‘Modi Era’ and the world has hailed Prime Minister Modi for his progressive policy decisions which includes Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1 solar mission.  

The campaign 'Meri Maati, Mera Desh' includes collection of mitti and rice from every household symbolising the participation of the people in the prosperity of the motherland.

Expeditions like Chadrayaan-3 and Aditya L1 solar mission have increased Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) capacity to compete with NASA, Roscosmos, said the minister. Dr Singh said India's recent space marvels have only been possible under PM Modi who has opened up new vistas for India’s space sector through public-private partnership model. “Now the ‘sky is not the limit’ has become true for India,” the minister added.

Over the past nine years, India's space programme has made significant strides, placing it at par with space agencies like NASA and Roscosmos. Dr Singh emphasised that India's achievements in space, showcasing its skilled workforce and cost-effective methods despite limited resources, have elevated it to a leading position in both science and economics. He credited PM Modi for fostering collaboration among stakeholders to collectively contribute to this success.

Dr Singh also encouraged people to participate in initiatives like Amrit Kalash Yatras, take the 'Panch Pran' pledge, and support India's progress, aiming to see India reach new heights by 2047, when India completes 100 years of Independence. The event also featured speeches from local representatives, including DDC Chairperson Lal Chand and Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai.
