The recent agitation by workers at AGPL has totally disrupted coal supply, posing a formidable challenge to RINL's production. However, undeterred by the obstacles, RINL's management has launched a comprehensive strategy to mitigate the impact of the disruptions and uphold operational continuity.

To ensure safe and sustained operations at the Plant, RINL has been taking various measures to ensure raw material security.

According to an official statement, it has diverted its two vessels to VPT which were stranded at AGPL.

One of the vessels got berthed on April 19 and coal is getting unloaded at VPT. RINL is completing the customs formalities and with the help of Railways is trying to transfer the cargo (Coal) to RINL in the next few days.

With this initiative, the coal crisis of RINL will get mitigated in couple of day’s time.

In addition to this, RINL arranged around 40,000 tons of Coal from other sources which is helping RINL in addressing the present crisis. And it has been constantly pursuing with AGPL regarding transfer 82,000 tons of Limestone and 2.2 lakh tons of Coking Coal which is already available in AGPL.

With the improvement of coal availability, RINL is planning to ramp up the production in a phased manner.

"Further, this has reference to reports in a cross section of media regarding investigation into the usage of substandard coal by RINL," it furter added.
