New Delhi: The Commerce Ministry has directed Indian Missions abroad and the concerned Foreign Trade (FT) Divisions to regularly update the status of trade-related complaints and disputes on the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) portal to ensure timely resolution and improve ease of doing business for exporters and importers.
In an official notice issued on Tuesday, the ministry said the status of complaints and trade disputes must be updated continuously until the cases are resolved, closed or otherwise disposed of under the prescribed procedure.
The directive aims to strengthen monitoring of trade disputes, improve transparency and facilitate better coordination among authorities handling complaints involving Indian exporters and importers.
Regular updates on the DGFT portal are expected to help stakeholders track the progress of complaints and reduce uncertainty in dispute resolution.
