New Delhi: Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) on Thursday announced its latest achievement of securing the annual maintenance dredging contract from the Cochin Port Authority. The contract, valued at Rs 156.50 crores for the year 2024-25, includes a provision for a one-year extension, further solidifying DCIL's leadership in the dredging sector and its dedication to enhancing India's maritime infrastructure.

DCIL, renowned for its expertise and precision in large-scale dredging projects, has been entrusted with the crucial task of maintaining the navigability of Cochin Port. The maintenance dredging will cover the port’s outer channel, approach channel, ICTT Basin, LNG Basin Channels (Ernakulam Channel & Mattancherry Channel), and other significant areas of the port. This operation is essential for ensuring the port's functionality and facilitating seamless and efficient maritime trade activities.

DCIL's Chairman Dr Madhaiyaan Angamuthu (IAS) expressed his pride in the company’s accomplishment. "We are honored to have been selected by the Cochin Port Authority for this significant project.
