New Delhi: Miniratna PSU South-Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) said in a tweet on Friday that Santosh Agarwal, Coal Controller and Deputy Director General, Ministry of Coal visited Dipka Mine on May 4. Further, SECL added that Agarwal inspected various parts of Dipka mine and took stock of mining activities during her visit.
In the end, Agarwal assessed the activities related to the dispatch from the silo. On this occasion, she was accompanied by the General Manager of the Dipka Mine along with other departmental heads and officials.
The Dipka coal mine is an open-pit coal mine located in the Korba Coalfield in the state of Chhattisgarh, India. It is owned and operated by South-Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL).
SECL operates 67 coal mines, of which 41 coal mines lie in Chhattisgarh, while the other 26 coal mines are situated in Madhya Pradesh. Out of these 67 coal mines, 46 mines are underground while 21 mines are opencast mines.
