EIL Q1 FY27 PBT, PAT rise 55%; order book stands at Rs 14,424 crore

New Delhi: State-run Engineers India Limited (EIL) reported a strong financial performance for the quarter ended June 30, with Profit Before Tax (PBT) and Profit After Tax (PAT) rising 55 percent year-on-year.

EIL’s PBT increased to Rs 145 crore in Q1 FY27 from Rs 94 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. PAT also rose 55 percent to Rs 109 crore from Rs 70 crore in Q1 FY26.

The company’s operating margin improved to around 14 percent, or Rs 108 crore, during the quarter, compared with 7 percent, or Rs 59 crore, in the year-ago period. EBITDA stood at Rs 155.44 crore, with an EBITDA margin of 18.55 percent, against Rs 104.61 crore and an EBITDA margin of 11.72 percent in Q1 FY26.

On a consolidated basis, EIL recorded PAT of Rs 157.94 crore in Q1 FY27, registering a 141 percent increase over Rs 65.40 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY26.

The company’s order book stood at Rs 14,424 crore as on June 30, 2026. Of this, the consultancy segment accounted for Rs 10,498 crore, while the turnkey segment contributed Rs 3,926 crore.

In an official statement, EIL said its business outlook remains positive, supported by a strong order book and opportunities across the energy and infrastructure sectors. The company is focusing on business growth, operational excellence, diversification of its project portfolio and expansion of its international footprint.
