

New Delhi: The retirement fund body EPFO has credited pensions for August to 4,40,901 pensioners in the Keralam Zone on Wednesday amid the Onam festival.
Ordinarily, the monthly pension under the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS), 1995, is disbursed at the end of the month, a labour ministry statement said.

However, in view of the Onam celebrations, EPFO made special arrangements to release the pension on August 26, 2026, thereby enabling pensioners and their families to meet their financial requirements and celebrate the festival without inconvenience.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) credited the pension for August 2026 to the accounts of 4,40,901 pensioners under the Keralam Zone on August 26, 2026, ahead of the festival of Onam, it stated, adding that the EPFO wishes all its members and pensioners a very happy Onam.

The pension has been credited through EPFO’s Centralised Pension Payment System (CPPS), which facilitates seamless and efficient transfer of pension directly to bank accounts of beneficiaries across the country.
