

New Delhi: State-owned Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has received forest clearance for its Chandmari copper mine in Rajasthan, paving the way for mining operations in the lease area.
In a regulatory filing on Wednesday, Hindustan Copper said that the Forest Department of the Government of Rajasthan has granted forest clearance co-terminus with the mining lease period for the Chandmari copper mine located in Jhunjhunu district.

The company said that the approval was conveyed through a letter dated June 19, 2026, which was received by the company on June 23, 2026.

According to the filing, the forest clearance has been granted in favour of Hindustan Copper for the Chandmari mine lease in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan and will remain valid for the duration of the mining lease period.
