The conference will feature participation from prominent Union Ministers, including Pralhad Joshi (Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution), Hardeep Singh Puri (Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas), and Dr Jitendra Singh (Minister of State, Independent Charge, of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences).

Focus on scaling Green Hydrogen production and infrastructure

ICGH 2025 is positioned as a pivotal platform to advance India's National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM). The conference will explore practical pathways for scaling up domestic green hydrogen production, enabling infrastructure development, building market demand, and fostering international collaboration on clean fuel technologies.

Sessions will span critical areas, including financing mechanisms, green hydrogen certification standards, port readiness and export infrastructure, workforce skill development, and localisation of manufacturing technologies. The conference will also emphasise contextual opportunities across multiple geographies, addressing region-specific applications and market opportunities.

Strategic alignment across government and industry

Senior representatives from multiple Ministries will participate, including officials from the Ministries of Power, Ports, Steel, Fertilisers, and Science & Technology, signaling the cross-sectoral importance of green hydrogen in India's industrial and energy strategy. The multi-ministry participation underscores how green hydrogen spans manufacturing, export competitiveness, port operations, and scientific research.

International participation will be substantial, with delegations from the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Hydrogen Europe, the H2 Global Foundation, the Korea Hydrogen Alliance, and the Port of Rotterdam Authority attending, reflecting India's integration into global green hydrogen networks and markets.

Addressing sectoral clarity and coordination

Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary of MNRE and Chairman of SECI, emphasised the conference's role in industry coordination, "Green hydrogen will be an important part of India's efforts to ensure clean, affordable and domestically produced energy. The sector is evolving, and it is important to bring clarity on technology choices, cost trends, infrastructure requirements and demand creation. ICGH 2025 will help align the priorities of government, industry and research so that implementation under the Mission can move forward in a coordinated manner."

The conference signals that policy clarity — particularly around technology pathways, financing structures, and infrastructure investment — remains critical to accelerating India's green hydrogen sector beyond the current pilot and announcement phase.

Event registration and detailed session schedules are available at www.icgh.in, with the conference set to run for two full days across November 11-12.
