Indian Oil assures uninterrupted fuel supply amid surge in demand

New Delhi: Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on Wednesday assured citizens that the availability of petrol (MS) and diesel (HSD) remains normal and uninterrupted across the country, even as demand for transportation fuels has witnessed a significant rise in April.

The company said that petrol and diesel sales through its retail outlets registered a growth of over 13 percent during the period from April 1 to April 21. According to Indian Oil, the surge in demand has been efficiently managed through its extensive distribution network comprising more than 42,000 fuel stations nationwide.

Backed by robust logistics and supply chain capabilities, the state-run oil marketing major highlighted its ability to consistently meet the country’s energy requirements without any disruption. The company emphasised that its integrated operations have ensured seamless availability of fuels across all supply channels.

In its statement, Indian Oil also urged customers to rely only on official communications for accurate information, amid heightened fuel demand.
