New Delhi: Officers of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) have elected a new leadership team of the Indian Oil Officers’ Association (IOOA) for the 2025–28 tenure, as public sector undertakings move towards a crucial round of Pay Revision Committee (PRC) negotiations and Indian Oil faces key strategic and operational challenges. The elections were held in Mumbai and marked another milestone in IOOA’s long-standing democratic process, the association said in a statement issued on Monday.

Kumar Gaurav elected president

According to the IOOA, officers have placed their confidence in a young and forward-looking leadership to represent and safeguard their interests during the current phase. The association said the newly elected team will be led by Kumar Gaurav, who has been elected President, IOOA.

Gaurav, who is currently working at WBSO, Kolkata, was elected to guide the association through what the IOOA described as a critical period for Indian Oil officers.

Core Committee for 2025–28 announced

The IOOA said the newly elected Core Committee for the 2025–28 tenure includes Amit Kumar as Vice President, Anoop Singh as General Secretary, Dr Ajay Kr Sharma as General Treasurer, and Ashish Dahiya as Additional General Secretary.

To ensure balanced representation across Indian Oil’s major business verticals, the IOOA said officers have also elected Divisional Representative Core Members covering marketing, refineries and pipelines.

These include Saurabh Tiwari as Joint Secretary (Marketing), Amarjit Kumar Dwivedi as Joint Secretary (Refineries), Pardeep Singh as Joint Secretary (Pipelines), Utkarsh Yadav as Marketing Coordinator, and Tarun Kumar as Refinery Coordinator.

The association noted that IOOA remains the only officers’ association among PSU oil companies to have enjoyed uninterrupted representation since its inception in 1989, reflecting what it described as a strong democratic foundation and institutional stability.

It added that the association follows a three-tier election process—unit level, divisional level and apex level—to ensure broad-based participation and representation of officers across the organisation.
