Despite modest profit growth, the state-owned renewable energy financier recorded a 31 percent increase in loan disbursements to Rs 10,579 crore during the July-September quarter, against Rs 8,062 crore in Q2 FY26.
IREDA's loan book grew 15 percent year-on-year to Rs 97,411 crore as of September 30, 2026, compared with Rs 84,477 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations increased 14 percent to Rs 2,345 crore from Rs 2,057 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The company's net worth rose 11 percent to Rs 14,337 crore, compared with Rs 12,920 crore a year earlier.
Asset quality improved during the quarter, with net non-performing assets (NPAs) declining to 1.08 percent from 1.97 percent in the year-ago period, marking a reduction of around 45 percent on a relative basis.
The audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026, were approved by IREDA's board of directors at a meeting held at the company's registered office in New Delhi on Monday.
Commenting on the results, Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Chairman and Managing Director, IREDA, said the performance reflected the company's business fundamentals and focus on quality growth. He said the growth in loan disbursements and the loan book underscored sustained demand for renewable energy financing across the country.

Mohanty also highlighted the improvement in asset quality, attributing the decline in net NPAs to the company's risk management framework and monitoring mechanisms.
He appreciated the efforts of IREDA employees and acknowledged the guidance and support of the Union Minister and Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, the Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), and the company's board of directors.
