New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA), the country’s largest pure-play green financing Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), has reported its highest-ever annual Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 1,699 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2025. The announcement was made following a meeting of the Board of Directors held today, during which the company’s audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter and full financial year were approved.
This performance represents a 36 percent growth in net profit over the previous financial year, underlining IREDA’s strong financial position and strategic growth trajectory. The company also achieved a 25 percent rise in Profit Before Tax (PBT), which stood at Rs 2,104 crore, and a 36 percent increase in revenue from operations, reaching Rs 6,742 crore for the year. IREDA’s loan book expanded by 28 percent to Rs 76,282 crore, while its net worth grew by 20 percent to Rs 10,266 crore.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2025, IREDA reported a PAT of Rs 502 crore, marking a substantial 49 percent rise over the corresponding period last year. The PBT for the quarter rose by 31 percent to Rs 630 crore, and revenue from operations grew by 37 percent to Rs 1,904 crore. These numbers reflect IREDA’s consistent quarterly performance and its ability to maintain momentum across all key financial parameters.
In a notable industry-first achievement, IREDA has also become the first company in the NBFC and Banking sectors, as well as the first Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), to publish its audited financial results within just 15 days of the close of the financial year. This milestone sets a new benchmark in financial transparency and operational efficiency.
Commenting on the results, IREDA Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Pradip Kumar Das said, “IREDA’s sustained growth in revenue, profitability, and loan book underscores our strategic focus towards financing India’s renewable energy ambitions. We remain committed to being the enabler of India’s green energy transition through innovative financial solutions and strategic partnerships.”
Das expressed appreciation for the unwavering dedication of Team IREDA in achieving these milestones. He also extended his gratitude to the Union Minister of New & Renewable Energy, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi; the Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy Shripad Naik; Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) Secretary Nidhi Khare; other senior officials of MNRE and associated ministries; and the Board of Directors for their continued support and invaluable guidance.
