New Delhi: JSW Neo Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for a 700 MW inter-state transmission system solar project from Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), an exchange filing said on Thursday. With this awarded capacity of 700 MW (Megawatt), the company's total locked-in generation capacity increased to 11.7 GW, of which 2.1 GW will be solar, the company said.

JSW Energy said its current installed generation capacity is 7.2 gigawatt (GW), and aims to have 9.8 GW of installed capacity by 2024-end.

"JSW Neo has received a Letter of Award (LoA) for (inter-state transmission system) ISTS-connected solar capacity of 700 MW from SECI, against tariff-based competitive bid invited for setting up of 1,500 MW ISTS-connected solar projects," JSW Energy said in the filing.

In addition, the company has 3.4 GW of locked-in energy storage capacity by means of battery energy storage system and hydro pumped storage project.
