

New Delhi: Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) has expanded its branch network by opening 16 new branches across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Delhi NCR in a single day, taking its total branch count to 919 across the country.

The latest expansion includes six branches in Tamil Nadu, five in Andhra Pradesh, three in Telangana and one each in Karnataka and Delhi NCR. The move is aimed at strengthening KVB’s presence across metropolitan, urban, semi-urban and rural markets and expanding access to banking services for retail customers, MSMEs and agricultural businesses.
KVB Managing Director and CEO Ramesh Babu inaugurated the new Gachibowli branch in Hyderabad and virtually opened the remaining 15 branches through video conferencing.
The newly opened branches are located at Indhresham, Gachibowli and Kokapet in Telangana; Chennai-Thirumangalam, Erode-Chithode, Sivagangai, Salem-Ammapet, Salem-Jagirrammapalayam and Kancheepuram-Sevilimedu in Tamil Nadu; Vijayawada-Ramavarapadu, Jaggayyapeta, Sompeta, Vizag-Kancharapalem and Rajahmundry-Konthamuru in Andhra Pradesh; Udupi in Karnataka; and Gurugram-Udyog Vihar in Delhi NCR.
Ramesh Babu said the bank would continue expanding its branch network in markets offering business potential and opportunities to deepen customer relationships. He said branches remain important, particularly for MSME, retail and agricultural customers, even as digital banking has simplified routine transactions.

The expansion comes amid continued growth in KVB’s business. As of June 30, 2026, the bank’s total business stood at Rs 2,27,267 crore, comprising deposits of Rs 1,22,587 crore and advances of Rs 1,04,680 crore. The bank reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of Rs 756 crore in the first quarter of FY27.
Alongside its physical network, KVB is also strengthening its digital banking capabilities. Its mobile banking application, KVB DLite, provides more than 150 financial and non-financial services, enabling customers to access a broad range of banking services through their mobile phones.
