The inquiry follows allegations that some paramedical staff engaged by service provider M/s Commando Industrial Security Force had submitted fake or forged educational and professional certificates.

According to MCL, the committee has been tasked with conducting a detailed investigation into the matter, examining the responsibility of the service provider and any other individuals involved, and recommending corrective measures. The panel will also suggest standard operating procedures to prevent recurrence of such incidents.

The committee has been directed to submit its report to the Director (HR), MCL within three days.

MCL said the medical college and hospital infrastructure was established under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and was handed over to the Government of Odisha in December 2023.

The company noted that, due to initial operational constraints and on the directions of the state government, it has continued to provide support services, including engagement of paramedical manpower, to ensure smooth functioning of the hospital.
