Launched on September 16, the sixth tranche comprises 23 mineral blocks, including 19 Composite Licences (CLs) and 4 Mining Leases (MLs), spread across 13 states. These blocks feature critical minerals such as Rare Earth Elements, Rare Metals, Tungsten, Lithium, Niobium, Tin, Graphite, Titanium, Vanadium, and Phosphate, key inputs for renewable energy, electric mobility, defence, and advanced technology sectors.

So far, the Ministry of Mines has successfully auctioned over 34 critical mineral blocks across the previous five tranches, marking a significant stride in strengthening India’s mineral resource base and industrial ecosystem.

Delivering the welcome address, Ministry of Mines' Additional Secretary Sanjay Lohiya reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to ensuring a transparent, investor-friendly, and efficient auction process.

In his keynote address, Goyal emphasized that the Government’s approach goes beyond facilitating auctions, it also focuses on developing indigenous technologies, for beneficiation and processing of critical minerals. He underscored the importance of building a self-reliant and resilient value chain to support India’s long-term industrial and strategic needs.

Highlighting the Government’s vision under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Goyal reiterated the commitment to inclusive growth, transparency, and accountable utilization of resources, contributing to the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He also appreciated the success of earlier tranches and assured continued support in aligning India’s mineral policy with global standards and market requirements.
