New Delhi: MOIL Limited, a state-run manganese ore mining company, has reported its highest-ever production for the month of May, marking a robust start to the financial year 2025-26.
According to a company statement, MOIL produced 1.71 lakh tonnes of manganese ore in May 2025, registering a significant 18 percent growth over the corresponding period last year. The figure not only sets a new benchmark for May production but also ranks as the fourth-highest monthly output in the company’s history.
In addition to production gains, MOIL also reported a strong performance in exploration activities. The company completed 13,352 meters of exploratory core drilling in May, reflecting a 17.5 percent increase compared to the same month in the previous year. This underscores MOIL’s strategic focus on expanding its resource base and enhancing future output potential.
Commenting on the achievement, MOIL Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Ajit Kumar Saxena said, “Our mines are the backbone of MOIL’s success. With this performance, we have shown that disciplined operations and efficient practices can consistently break barriers.”
The strong production and exploration figures indicate continued operational momentum for MOIL as it enters FY26, aligning with the company’s long-term growth strategy in the mineral sector.
MOIL Limited is a Miniratna Category-I PSU under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India, and is India’s largest producer of manganese ore.
