New Delhi: State-owned MOIL on Tuesday said that it has registered the best production performance since its inception, with a significant growth of 26 percent when compared to April 2022. The company produced around 1.31 lakh tonnes of Manganese Ore in April this year, it said in a statement. Further, the company recorded sales of 97,838 tonnes for the month, it added.

MOIL achieved core drilling of 7,530 metres

"MOIL achieved core drilling of 7,530 metres this year, which is 3.6 times higher than April 2022. The company has made an ambitious plan of carrying out exploration in brown-field and green-field areas during FY’24," said the statement.

MOIL sets a record in producing EMD

The state-owned PSU has also set a record in the "production of Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) in April, which has increased by six percent to April 2022. EMD is a 100 percent import substitution product, used mostly for pharmaceuticals and the manufacturing of batteries," it added.

On the occasion, Ajit Kumar Saxena, CMD, congratulated the MOIL collective on these achievements and reposed confidence in continuing the growth trajectory in the coming times, the statement said.
