New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sarkari Awas Nirman Avam Vitt Nigam Ltd to undertake a significant mixed land use development project in Lucknow. This information has been shared by the NBCC (India) Limited in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Monday.

Under the MoU, NBCC will be responsible for the execution of development works across approximately 588 acres of land in Poorvi Vihar, Lucknow. As part of Phase 1 of the project, NBCC will take possession of an encumbrance-free 50-acre site and execute its planning, designing, and development. The estimated value of this phase is around Rs 3,500 crore.

The project will be executed on a "deposit work" basis, with NBCC charging an agency fee of 10 percent on the actual cost of the project, in addition to applicable GST and taxes.

NBCC is mainly into the PMC and real estate businesses.
