New Delhi: Maharatna Coal India's subsidiary, Northern Coalfields Limited in a tweet on Thursday informed that the Bina Area of NCL welcomed three state-of-the-art 850 horsepower dozers with cutting-edge technology and safety features. "Dozers are mighty machines that effortlessly move vast quantities of coal and overburden in mines. NCL boasts a fleet of 160+ dozers," the tweet added. The image shared by the company also reflects that the dozers have been procured from Komatsu, a Japanese firm providing essential equipment, technologies, and services for construction and mining projects.

About Bina Project

Bina project is the first and largest coal mine in Uttar Pradesh. There are three coal seams namely Purewa top (8m), Purew Bottom (9-10m), and Turra seam (18-20m). It is having Deshaling Plant of 4.5 MTPA capacity integrated with CHP for 34 percent +/- 1 percent Ash content Coal (finished product). Currently, the project uses dozers of two different capacities including, 16 410HP, procured from BEML, and 1 850HP from Komatsu.
