NLC India receives LoI for composite licence for critical mineral blocks in Telangana

New Delhi: NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Government of India enterprise, has received the Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Government of Telangana for the grant of Composite Licence (CL) for two critical mineral blocks in the state.

The development follows NLCIL’s participation in the 7th Tranche of Critical and Strategic Mineral Auction conducted by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India. The company emerged as the Preferred Bidder for the Govindpur Vanadium, Titanium & Aluminous Laterite Block and the Parvathapur Vanadium, Titanium & Aluminous Laterite Block, both located in Sangareddy, Telangana.

NLCIL received the LoI for grant of the Composite Licence from the Government of Telangana on August 31, covering both the Govindpur and Parvathapur blocks.

The acquisition of these mineral blocks marks an expansion of NLC India’s presence in the critical and strategic minerals segment. The blocks contain vanadium, titanium and aluminous laterite, minerals that are strategically important for various industrial applications.
