The valedictory function was graced by NTPC Limited Regional Executive Director (ER-II) Arindam Sinha who commended GEM as a shining example of NTPC’s commitment to social responsibility and girl child empowerment. He praised the participants for their talent and energy showcased during the cultural performances.

NTPC Bongaigaon's Head of Project Arnab Maitra who was the Guest of Honour, emphasized the program’s transformative impact, which combined academic learning with creative, physical, and life skill development. He thanked the local administration, parents, and teachers for their strong support and highlighted GEM’s role in inspiring confidence and dreams among young girls.

A notable highlight of the event was the distribution of bicycles to all participants—an initiative aimed at promoting independence and accessibility.

The cultural showcase included a wide range of performances, such as a skit based on the Mahabharata, Operation Sindoor act, fusion dance, Bihu and Bodo folk dances, group singing, yoga displays, and a grand finale celebrating women’s empowerment. An exhibition of handmade craft items prepared by the participants added to the festivities.

During the de-registration ceremony, participants were presented with certificates and framed photographs of their journey by senior dignitaries, including Arindam Sinha, Arnab Maitra, Rupali Sinha, and Kasturi Maitra, President of Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club, among others. The event also saw participation from NTPC executives, union and association members, and faculty from Tanvi Consultancy Limited.

Held from July 1 to 29, GEM 2025 at NTPC Bongaigaon offered academic instruction in Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, and vernacular languages. The curriculum also included training in yoga, computers, dance, crafts, clay and pottery painting, life skills, and sports. Awareness sessions on menstrual health and fire safety were conducted by experts and CISF personnel. Exposure visits to key institutions such as the office of the District Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, Sports Authority of India, and Bodoland Silk Park provided real-world insights.
