

New Delhi: NTPC Limited on Monday announced the declaration of commercial operation date (COD) of 13.98 MW capacity, the ninth part of its 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat, with effect from midnight of December 30.
The capacity has been commissioned under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Limited, through NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL).
With the addition of this capacity, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC Group has increased to 85,637 MW. Separately, NTPC Green Energy Limited Group’s commercial capacity now stands at 7,996.30 MW, while its total installed capacity has risen to 8,010.28 MW.
NTPC continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio as part of its long-term strategy to scale up non-fossil fuel-based power generation capacity.
