NTPC Green Energy adds 265 MW renewable capacity with solar and wind projects in Gujarat

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has announced the commencement of commercial operations for a combined renewable capacity of 265 MW across solar and wind projects in Gujarat.

The company declared commercial operation of the fourth part capacity of 212.5 MW from the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat, effective August 20, 2025. The project is being developed under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II Tranche-III by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL.

In a parallel development, 52.8 MW of wind capacity, part of a 100 MW hybrid project comprising 92.4 MW of wind and 37.5 MW of solar, has also been declared commercially operational from August 21, 2025.

The hybrid project is located in Gujarat and is being developed by Ayana Renewable Power Four Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt Ltd. Ayana is a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Energy Pvt Ltd, a joint venture of ONGC and NTPC Green Energy.

With these additions, NTPC Group’s total installed and commercial capacity has reached 83,242 MW.
