NTPC Green Energy adds 6.6 MW wind capacity to hybrid project in Gujarat

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the commencement of commercial operations for a 6.6 MW wind capacity, forming part of the 100 MW hybrid renewable energy project located in Bhuj, Gujarat. The project belongs to Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., which is itself a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, NGEL’s joint venture with ONGC.

The 6.6 MW wind segment of the hybrid project will be commercially operational with effect from December 11, marking a key step in the progressive commissioning of the 100 MW hybrid (wind-solar) capacity developed under the joint venture structure.

With the addition of this newly operational capacity, the total commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group has increased to 7,639.075 MW, while the total installed capacity has risen to 7,645.675 MW, strengthening NGEL’s expanding renewable energy portfolio and supporting India’s clean energy ambitions .
