NTPC Green Energy signs MoU with UP Govt for RE, Green Hydrogen projects

New Delhi: NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh for the development of Renewable Energy (RE) and Green Hydrogen projects in the state.

The MoU has been signed on January 22, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting being held in Davos, Switzerland. The agreement aims to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s clean energy ecosystem and support India’s broader transition towards sustainable and low-carbon energy sources.

The MoU has been signed by the CEO of Invest UP and UPSIDA Vijay Kiran Anand (IAS) and NGEL's Executive Director DMR Panda in the presence of Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Finance and Parliamentary Affairs, Suresh Kumar Khanna, along with senior officials from the State Government and NTPC and NGEL.

Under the agreement, NGEL will explore opportunities for setting up renewable energy and green hydrogen projects across Uttar Pradesh, aligning with the state government’s vision to promote green growth, attract investments, and generate employment while reducing carbon emissions.

NTPC Green Energy Limited is engaged in accelerating NTPC Group’s renewable energy and green hydrogen initiatives and plays a key role in advancing India’s clean energy goals.
