New Delhi: The Odisha Mining Corporation Limited (OMC), a leading state-owned mining company, has initiated a “Train the Trainer” programme aimed at creating a cadre of certified internal trainers within the organisation. The programme was launched on June 11 and June 12 at the company’s Head Office in Bhubaneswar as part of OMC’s broader institutional training framework.

The inaugural session witnessed the participation of key leadership, including OMC's Director (Operations) Sabyasachi Mohanty; Director (HR) Alok Kumar Pal; Director (Finance) Bana Bihari Pani; and GM (Personnel) Malay Ranjan Kar. Officials from OMC's regional units and Head Office also attended the event.

In its first phase, the programme trained 37 officials from various departments and locations of the corporation. These officials will now serve as internal trainers and mentors, helping to institutionalise a culture of continuous learning across OMC.

The programme follows a structured three-phase implementation strategy and is expected to be rolled out progressively to cover a wider base of employees. Participants were engaged in experiential learning, leadership simulations, and skill development modules focused on communication, behavioural change, compliance, capacity building, and leadership.

The initiative is seen as a strategic step towards enhancing internal capabilities and aligning the workforce with OMC’s growth and operational goals.
