PESB does not recommend any candidate for DFCCIL's MD post

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has not recommended any candidate for the post of Managing Director of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a public sector enterprise under Railways Ministry, following interviews held on October 17.

According to PESB notifications, the board interviewed four applicants for the top executive position. The candidates were Anurag Sharma, Director (Infrastructure), DFCCIL; Sanjeev Gupta, Executive Director, DFCCIL; Shambhoo Sharan Kedia, Principal Executive Director, Infra 1, Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), Ministry of Railways; and Niraj Verma, Chief Operations Manager/Principal Chief Operations Manager, Ministry of Railways.

Following the selection meeting, the PESB decided not to recommend any of the candidates for the position.

The board advised the administrative ministry or department to determine an appropriate course of further action to complete the selection process. The options include referring the matter to a Search-cum-Selection Committee (SCSC) or adopting another suitable procedure, subject to the approval of the competent authority.

The decision leaves the appointment process for the head of DFCCIL open, with the next steps to be determined by the administrative ministry or department in accordance with the prescribed approval process.
