PM Surya Ghar: SECI signs MoU with CMLRE for rooftop solar system

New Delhi: Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Marine Living Resources & Ecology (CMLRE), Ministry of Earth Sciences, for installation of a grid-connected rooftop solar (GCRT) system at CMLRE in Kochi under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

The initiative is aimed at promoting the adoption of clean and renewable energy in government institutions and supporting the government's objectives of sustainable and greener energy development.

The MoU has been signed and exchanged by Dr RS Maheskumar, Head and Scientist (G), CMLRE, and Manas Ranjan Mishra, DGM and HoD (Solar), SECI.

The project will support greater use of renewable energy at the government institution and contribute to the broader implementation of rooftop solarisation under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
