New Delhi: Indicating continuity from the previous regime, several ministers have retained their portfolios in Modi Cabinet 3.0. The portfolio allocation for the newly-sworn-in ministers was announced by the Narendra Modi government late evening on Monday. A total of 13 ministers have retained their portfolios. The list includes, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, Nitin Gadkari, Ashwini Chauhan, Dr S Jaishankar, Piyush Goyal, Dharmendra Pradhan, Hardeep Singh Puri, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Sarbananda Sonowal, Virendra Kumar and Bhupender Yadav.

Among the new entrants to the Union Cabinet are former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP president JP Nadda and former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Modi and his 71 ministers took oath of office and secrecy on June 9 at a ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government occupy 293 seats in the Lok Sabha.
