New Delhi: Maharatna power PSU Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has acquired Bhadla III Transmission Limited (BIIITL) from PFC Consulting Limited under tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) for establishment of transmission system for evacuation of power from REZ in Rajasthan (20GW) under Phase-III Part B1.
Power Grid has also acquired Ananthpuram Kurnool Transmission Limited (AKTL) from PFC Consulting Limited under TBCB for establishment of transmission scheme for Solar Energy Zone in Ananthpuram (Ananthapur) (2500 MW) and Kurnool (1000 MW), Andhra Pradesh.
The Bhadla III Transmission Limited project comprises establishment of a new 765/400/220 kV Pooling Station at Bhadla-3 and a 765 kV D/C Transmission Line traversing in the state of Rajasthan and associated bay extension works. The transmission system is an Inter State Transmission System Project and is to be completed in 18 months.
The Ananthpuram Kurnool Transmission Limited (AKTL) project comprises establishment of a new 400/220 kV Pooling Station at a suitable border location between Ananthpuram & Kurnool (in Andhra Pradesh) and two 400 kV D/C Transmission Lines traversing in the state of Andhra Pradesh and associated bay extension works. The transmission system is an Inter State Transmission System Project and is to be completed in 24 months.
