

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Power, held its 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) through virtual mode on August 20, 2026.

The AGM was chaired by Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra, Chairman and Managing Director, in the presence of Director (Personnel) Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Operations) Naveen Srivastava, Director (Finance) Amol Taori and Government Nominee Director Abhay Bakre. Shareholders participated in the meeting through virtual mode.
During the AGM, the management presented the company's key financial highlights, operational achievements, future growth prospects, technological innovations and various initiatives undertaken by Power Grid. The management also addressed the queries raised by shareholders during the meeting.

The company highlighted its continued focus on strengthening the country's power transmission infrastructure through the adoption of advanced technologies, automation and digital solutions.
As of July 31, 2026, Power Grid had commissioned and was operating 292 substations and more than 1,86,889 circuit km of transmission lines, with a transformation capacity of 6,37,016 MVA.
The company maintained an average transmission system availability of more than 99.81 percent during the period, supported by the use of latest technological tools and techniques, along with enhanced automation and digital solutions.
Shareholders appreciated the company's performance and conveyed their best wishes to the management for its continued growth.
