Power Grid honoured with SCOPE Eminence Award in HR Management

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, has been conferred with the SCOPE Eminence Award for Human Resource Management. The award has been presented by President of India Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan in the national capital on Friday.

The recognition has been received by Power Grid's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Ravindra Kumar Tyagi along with Director (Personnel) Yatindra Dwivedi. The event was also attended by Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, Department of Public Enterprises Secretary K Moses Chalai, and senior officials of CPSUs, SCOPE and Power Grid.

According to the company, the award underscores Power Grid’s progressive HR practices, which focus on employee-centric policies, continuous skill development, leadership building, and fostering a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and well-being.

As of July 31, 2025, Power Grid operates 286 substations, more than 1,80,849 circuit km of transmission lines, and 5,74,331 MVA of transformation capacity. The company has consistently maintained a transmission system availability of over 99.85 percent by leveraging advanced technologies, automation, and digital solutions.
